Today Mrs. Landry and I left North Carolina and drove into Tennessee. We drove through a national park called Smoky Mountains National Park. There aren't many national parks around the country, but did you know that Hawaii has two? They are Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island and Haleakala National Park on Maui. Have any of you been to those?
The Smoky Mountains were really pretty. They are covered in trees and really do look smoky because of gas that is released by all of the plants. The road was really curvy, so we drove slowly. Finally, we got to a town in Tennessee called Gatlinburg. We stayed at a small inn there called the Buckhorn Inn. It was a bed and breakfast, which means that you get a great breakfast when you wake up. I had French toast with bananas and bacon.
